Well it's not really the buttons, but the images the alert you of new posts and stuff are messed up.
It's telling me there are topics that are unread, but I've either read them already or they were there since before I signed up(and it's not dong this with all the boards either, just a few)

the way the topic read icon system is designed at the moment is simple, and does at times act up. I plan to improve that and a few other things in v3

What's v3 going to be like exactly? I haven't seen the ACP for this yet so it probably won't seem much different...but from my perspective, how will it be different?
